“Our program for 2011”

“Gorakhani Welfare society is proudly announcing the some new projects in Gorakhani.”
For the education

• GWS keep continue provide Education facilities. From New session of the year we will give free Copy and pen for all students for whole year. This facilities we provides in Gorakhani Primary School and Khamding Pre-Primary School.
• GWS provide Yearly scholarship for 2 best students (1 Boy and 1 girl). Also GWS continually provides the poorest families’ student’s scholarship. For poorest families’ student’s we provide free school uniform and other extra education things.
• GWS continually provides the prize for top 3 students in School Leaving certificates exam. The Prize is Rs. 5000 and certificate for 1st, Rs 3000 and certificate for 2nd and Rs 2000 and certificate for 3rd. The participants’ students are only from Gorakhani VDC.
• GWS provides weekly news paper and some monthly magazine for school.
• GWS looking to provides scholarship for students who are studying in Secondary School after complete school in Gorakhani. Looking to provides hostel cost, Books, copy, pen and some extra expense.
• GWS provide 1 English Teacher salary in Gorakhani Primary School.
• GWS continually provides the students health check up facilities in Gorakhani Health post.

“For the Monastery Program”

• GWS continually provides the Lama teacher and from 2011 we are going to provide 1 extra higher lame teacher in Gorakhani. Now, we have 17 Students who is learning Lama Education. GWS provides Lama Salary, lodging and food. GWS provide all Lama Books, copy and pen for the lama students.
• GWS going to provides the cost of the Urgen Chholing Monastery painting. This is one of the oldest Monasteries in Nepal, which is built in end of 15th Century. We already rebuilt the Monastery building and out side paint.
• GWS looking to protect the old Monuments in village.
• GWS giving the train for local about them culture, language and community work.

GWS looking to start tree planting project, Apple planting project, Electricity project, water supplies project, 1 house 1 toilet project and Promoting the tourism (Home stay) project as soon as possible.

GWS kindly requested to all our Donners and friends to help our projects. GWS kindly give Thanks to all our Donner, Member’s, and foreign Donners. We specially Thanks to Himalayan Children of Khoriya France who always support and help us.

“How we get fond”

• All members have to pay yearly to GWS and pay extra when we have new projects.
• Foreign Donation, few of our member working tourism and they inform to them clients about our social work and some clients give donation to GWS. Especially Founder President/Chairman Mr. Gelu Sherpa Who work as a CEO tour Leader with GAP Adventures contacting with foreigners. Mr. Gelu Sherpa paid to GWS Rs 1000 in each his GAP tour. He arrange job for many young boys from Gorakhani. Each boy pay Rs. 100 per trip to GWS and all the boys are very happy to involve GWS. We give Thanks to GAP Adventures who send many clients to Nepal.
• Also Himalayan Children of Koriya France helps to GWS since 2010. We are so happy from the Himalayan Children of Khoriya France. Especially Mr. Dr. Guy and Mrs. Collect.

Dear friends, for all this projects we will get some help from Government but the government don’t provide fully budget (the government provide about 50% cost) so we have to find rest 50% cost from sponsors. GWS going to lead to fine Sponsor for these projects.
